John left
the home he had rented for the boys and went to the Impala. The man was cursing under his breath. He didn’t see the elderly woman step out into
the street and face him. Her arms were
crossed and she frowned.
“Damn,”
the hunter swore. He stood with his hand
on the roof of his car. “Lady, I don’t
have time to deal with you any longer. I
have to get my boys.”
“You aren’t
going anywhere, Mr. Winchester,” the woman murmured as she smiled at something
behind him. John turned and faced the
car that pulled up behind the Impala.
“A deputy
sheriff stepped out of the car and walked towards him.
“Mr.
Winchester?”
“That’s
right.”
“You are
under arrest, Sir for child abuse and neglect.”
John
smiled, “Do you see any children, Officer”
“We have
witnesses, Sir”
The hunter
turned to get into his car when he heard the sound of a gun being pulled from a
holster.
“On the
ground! Now!”
John
cursed under his breath as he felt the cuffs.
Castiel
leaned against the Impala, a small smile on his solemn face.
‘Castiel?’
‘I am
buying time, Father. It is Free Will.’
The angel
heard no more. He returned to South
Dakota and his charge.
